In 1940, Piet Mondrian arrived in New York city. Fellow artist Harry Holtzman met him on his arrival and introduced him to the artistic scene in the city.

A great series of photographs made by amateur photographer Charles Cushman shows us the New York in which Mondrian arrived and lived in during the early 1940s. The photographs are all in colour and quite amazing!
