In 2023 The Bloomsbury Handbook of Religion and Heritage in Contemporary Europe, which I edited together with Todd Weir, was published open access and in hardcover. Late last year, the (much more affordable!) paperback edition was published.
In honor of this amazing paperback, Todd and I spoke with James Bielo about the volume for which we brought together over forty scholars and heritage professionals, the international conference of 2019 that was the foundation for the volume, and how the book relates to current challenges of religious heritage in pluralized societies.
The conversation was recorded for a podcast episode of the New Books Network, which can be found through the NBN website or via your favorite podcast app (episode date 23 Feb. 2026 or search for our names).
You can purchase the paperback here, or find the online open access publication on the Bloomsbury website.
